Humane Education
Tales for Tails is a reading-to-animals program for Colorado students that helps build their reading skills. 1st-grade students to high schoolers practice their reading skills in a judgment-free zone while also helping equines, cats, and dogs at our 3 animal shelter locations with socialization and trust.

Ready to build a bond with your cat or dog? Our Community Pet Classes are in session! Our three pet care classes start with the basics to help you get started on – or back to – the right paw! From loose leash walking to easy enrichment ideas for cats and dogs, these unique classes will build confidence in your bond, reducing frustration for you and your pet, through animal education and pet communication skills.

Last year, our community spent 3,800 hours learning about animal welfare to better understand our relationship with pets, enrich their lives, and advocate for a more humane Colorado.
