New pet adoption packet and resources

Congratulations on adopting your new family member!

Here are some important resources and information that will help keep your pet healthy and happy.

Medical Care
If you have a concern about your pet’s health and it falls outside of the Connect for Care program coverage, please call 720.241.7100 to see if there is additional support Humane Colorado can provide.

If calling outside regular business hours, you will hear a recording with information on emergency pet clinics in the Denver metro area.

Behavior Help
If you have concerns about your pet’s behavior, please go to the Pet Behavior Resource Center to see our pet behavior handouts or make an appointment to speak with a behavior specialist on our free Pet Behavior Helpline.

Pet Licensing & Vaccinations
Most Colorado counties require that pets be licensed and registered, as well as vaccinated against rabies. Please check with your local animal care and control agency for the specific requirements in your city or county. Also, please discuss an appropriate vaccination schedule with your veterinarian when you attend your free wellness exam.
