Humane Colorado Awarded $247,000 Grant from The Rachael Ray Foundation

Funding will advance efforts to reduce pet homelessness and expand care for animals and families in need.

Denver, Col. – Humane Colorado is proud to announce it has received a $247,000 grant from The Rachael Ray Foundation. This generous funding will help the organization continue its mission to end pet homelessness and animal suffering and keep pets in loving homes across Colorado.

With the continued partnership of The Rachael Ray Foundation, Humane Colorado is able to sustain a wide variety of essential programs and services designed to support both pets and the people who love them. The organization serves nearly 46,000 animals through shelter services, veterinary care, and community-based support that helps keep people and pets together.

This grant will strengthen Humane Colorado’s ability to meet increasing needs across the state, ensuring access to compassionate care and critical resources for animals and their owners.

“We are deeply grateful to The Rachael Ray Foundation for their continued commitment to animal welfare,” said President and CEO Katie Parker. “Their support allows us to advance humane practices through innovative approaches to sheltering, rehabilitation, veterinary and community programs, all aimed at improving the lives of pets, people, and communities.”

Humane Colorado invites the community to be part of this important work by donating, volunteering, or opening their home to a pet in need. The impact of this grant will reach pets and people across the state, reinforcing the shared goal of a more humane Colorado.
