Every August, we celebrate Clear the Shelters Month, and every year our community shows up to donate, adopt, and support our mission to end pet homelessness and animal suffering throughout Colorado. This year, we’re celebrating your compassion in action with A LOT of heart! A heart for each of the 1,226 adoptions through Clear the Shelters graced the adoption lobby of our Leslie A. Malone Center. Our Buddy Center, Harmony Equine Center, and San Luis Valley Animal Center also shared hearts for new homes for the human-animal connections made at these locations. From some of our longest stay pets to puppies and kittens, we cheered every adoption as you continued to support by sharing the care for pets and equines still receiving medical treatment or awaiting homes with donations. We are grateful every day for our community of pet lovers, animal advocates, adopters, and donors, and we look forward to another successful Clear the Shelters Month next year!
