What is Tales for Tails at Harmony Equine Center?
Tales for Tails is an opportunity for students (1st grade – high school) to practice their reading skills in a judgement-free zone while also helping horses, ponies, mules, and donkeys at our shelter get the socialization they need. This 1 hour program includes a lesson about Dumb Friends League, tips for safely interacting with the equines, a brief tour, and 20-25 minutes of reading time. If times allows, there will even be a fun and interactive game! Experienced and enthusiastic staff and volunteers will guide your child through this interactive program.
What should my child bring?
Students must bring their own book. Students must wear closed toed shoes.
