Animal Assistance Foundation Animal Assistance Foundation’s generosity has improved animals’ lives across the state. Most recently, Animal Assistance Foundation has supported the Humane Colorado San Luis Valley Animal Center, which will provide care for lost, stray, abandoned and unwanted pets in an area where these services are desperately needed.

Banfield Foundation Banfield Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, believes that all pets deserve access to veterinary care. In support of this belief, the Foundation has funded Humane Colorado’s Community Veterinary Services which increases access to affordable veterinary care for owned pets, helping to preserve the human-animal bond and ensuring that animals are able to access life-saving care. Bates Foundation & Trust The Bates Foundation & Trust’s commitment to improving the lives of others and enhancing communities is crucial to helping organizations like Humane Colorado make a meaningful impact. Funding from the Bates Foundation & Trust has helped pets with serious medical conditions that require specialized treatment, fearful animals that need a little more time and attention through our behavior programs, as well as horses who come to the Humane Colorado Harmony Equine Center from abuse and neglect situations and need rehabilitation and training. Maddie’s Fund Humane Colorado is a proud recipient of funding from Maddie’s Fund®, #ThanksToMaddie. Maddie’s Fund® is a family foundation established in 1994 by Dave and Cheryl Duffield and is the fulfillment of a promise to an inspirational dog, Maddie. She provided them much joy from 1987 – 1997 and continues to inspire them today. Noah’s Ark Foundation At Humane Colorado, we have the opportunity to see firsthand how pets can bring value to the community—offering camaraderie, supporting mental and physical health and wellness and teaching lessons of compassion and empathy. In this spirit, we proudly operate one of the oldest shelter-based education programs in the country. Our Humane Education department has provided unique, curriculum-based learning opportunities for adults and children in the Denver Metro Area for more than 45 years.
