Adopt Spyro Spyro is located at Leslie A. Malone Center Spyro Location: Leslie A. Malone Center Sex: Male Current Weight: 12.2 lbs Looks Like: Domestic MH Color: Black Age: 2 Years Intake Date: 12/30/2025 ID: A1343573 About Spyro This is Spyro, a very soft, fluffy black boy with a gentle spirit and a story still being written. Spyro came to us as a stray, and because of that, he can be a little cautious when you first meet him. Once he realizes he’s safe, though, he truly enjoys petting and responds sweetly to kind, reassuring words. His calm demeanor shines through during quiet moments, and he appreciates gentle affection on his own terms. Spyro has been using his litter box well in the shelter and is adjusting nicely to indoor life. Since he previously lived outdoors, he would greatly benefit from a slow, patient introduction to his new surroundings to help him feel secure and confident. With time, understanding, and a loving home, Spyro has the potential to become a loyal and affectionate companion. Adoption Fee: $110 Adopt Me Support My Care Share Facebook TikTok Instagram
We recommend starting your search for a new pet online. If you see a pet you want to meet, note their location and write down their ID number. We have three adoption facilities: Leslie A Malone Center in Denver, The Buddy Center in Castle Rock, and the San Luis Valley Animal Center in Alamosa. Adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. We regularly update our available cats, dogs, and small mammals online, but there’s always a possibility that the pet you saw on our site will find a home before you get a chance to visit. Learn everything you need to know about adopting a pet from Humane Colorado on the pet adoptions process page.
When you adopt a pet, please bring: A valid photo ID with your current address.
