Adopt Cougar Cougar is located at Leslie A. Malone Center Cougar Location: Leslie A. Malone Center Sex: Male Current Weight: 12.9 lbs Looks Like: Domestic SH Color: Brn Tabby Age: 8 Years Intake Date: 05/09/2026 ID: A1340400 About Cougar Cougar is a handsome kitty with a gentle side who enjoys attention and appreciates a good petting session from his favorite adults. He’s lived with children before and did OK with them, making him a nice candidate for a calmer family home. Cougar has also been around dogs and tends to avoid or ignore them rather than seek them out. Like many cats, Cougar may need a little time to adjust to new surroundings and any resident pets, so slow, thoughtful introductions will be important for his success. In his previous home, he experienced some house-soiling issues that may have been related to stress and the presence of other animals. A patient adopter who can provide a stable environment, proper litterbox setup, and understanding during his transition will help him feel more comfortable and secure. Once settled in, Cougar is a sweet companion who enjoys companionship, affection, and a peaceful place to call home. Adoption Fee: $50 Adopt Me Support My Care Share Facebook TikTok Instagram
We recommend starting your search for a new pet online. If you see a pet you want to meet, note their location and write down their ID number. We have three adoption facilities: Leslie A Malone Center in Denver, The Buddy Center in Castle Rock, and the San Luis Valley Animal Center in Alamosa. Adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. We regularly update our available cats, dogs, and small mammals online, but there’s always a possibility that the pet you saw on our site will find a home before you get a chance to visit. Learn everything you need to know about adopting a pet from Humane Colorado on the pet adoptions process page.
