Adopt Maverick Maverick is located at Leslie A. Malone Center Maverick Location: Leslie A. Malone Center Sex: Male Current Weight: 93 lbs Looks Like: Australian Kelpie-Mix Color: Black-Brown Age: 7 Years Intake Date: 10/15/2025 ID: A1339437 About Maverick Meet Maverick, a sweet, goofy guy who is looking for a home to share with his bestie for life, King (A1339438). Maverick is a puppy at heart and loves to head to the play yard to walk and play with King. He has lots of enthusiasm about everything and loves to walk and explore. Take your time, he might want to stop and sniff everything along the way. He’s also a social butterfly and Maverick will be at your feet while you are relaxing to your favorite music or watching television. We recommend that your kids are over 10 years old due to Maverick’s size (yep, he could stand to lose a few pounds) and energy. If you have other pets, we do recommend that you slowly introduce everyone to the mighty duo, Maverick and King. Come in with your whole family and dogs to meet and hang out. We recommend starting your search for a new pet online. If you see a pet you want to meet, note their location and write down their ID number. We have three adoption facilities: Leslie A Malone Center in Denver, The Buddy Center in Castle Rock, and the San Luis Valley Animal Center in Alamosa. Adoptions are on a first come, first served basis. We regularly update our available cats, dogs, and small mammals online, but there’s always a possibility that the pet you saw on our site will find a home before you get a chance to visit. Learn everything you need to know about adopting a pet from Humane Colorado on the pet adoptions process page.
