End of Life

Humane Colorado offers compassionate end-of-life services for beloved pets, including euthanasia options.

Saying Goodbye

Understanding Euthanasia Services at Humane Colorado

Being a best friend for their life means knowing when to say goodbye.

No pet should be forced to suffer at the end of their life, and no caregiver should have to watch their beloved pet’s decline. We approach euthanasia with compassionate care for the pet and the person.

We offer end-of-life services at the Leslie A. Malone Center, Buddy Center, and the Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur.

We will take your pet into a warm, quiet room to perform humane euthanasia. The process is handled with kindness and respect, taking only a few minutes. Your pet will not suffer.

Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur

If you would like to be present for the entirety of your pet’s end of life visit, please make an appointment with the Veterinary Hospital at CSU Spur.

Please note: Our in-shelter services are not set up for you to be present during the procedure, but you may view your pet afterward if you wish.
