DESCRIPTION:What is Tales for Tails?  \nTales for Tails is an opportunity for students (3rd grade – high school) to practice their reading skills in a judgement-free zone while also helping animals at our shelter get the enrichment and socialization they need.  This 1 hour program includes a lesson about Humane Colorado\, tips for safely interacting with the equines\, a brief tour\, and 20-25 minutes of reading time. If times allows\, there will even be a fun and interactive game!  Experienced and enthusiastic staff and volunteers will guide your child through this interactive program. \nWhat should my child bring?\nStudents must bring their own book. Students must wear closed toed shoes. \nParticipation Requirements\nAbility to be comfortable in a sensory rich environment (loud sounds\, bright lighting\, etc.) for the duration of the program as well as the ability to participate in the entire 60-minute program without a bathroom break.
