DESCRIPTION:What is Youth Volunteer Day? \nYouth Volunteer Day is a 3-hour opportunity for students aged 8-11 to experience three of our most popular programs in one! \nPaint and Pets – students will flex their creative muscles and paint a portrait of one of our longest-stay dogs or cats.  Please note\, this is not a “learn to paint” program.\nPawsitive Service Day – students will get to learn about the shelter through a tour and work on some service projects to help the animals.  If available\, we’ll bring a furry friend to join the fun!\nTales for Tails – students will get to spend time practicing their reading in a judgement-free zone\, reading to either cats or dogs (depending on animal availability). \nWhat should my child bring? \nStudents need to bring a book (to read to the animals) and wear closed-toe shoes. \nRegister Now!
